Videogame Music

Name Description
The Scar-Sealing Girl ("Star-Stealing Girl" from Radical Dreamers, "Scars of Time" from Chrono Cross) A collaboration with Ross Kmett for the Radical Dreamers project. Ross did the bulk of this mix; I arranged and performed the piano and guitars, and sequenced the organ and the music box outro. Ross did the rest.
Street Fighter ("Ken's Theme" from Street Fighter 2) I arranged this one to be used as floor routine music by one of the girls at my gym. It's pretty much a straight-up rock arrangement, drawing a few ideas from Joe "jdproject" Darwish's arrangement of the same theme on OCRemix. Guitars and maraccas are real, everything else is sequenced. If you are a coach or gymnast looking for routine music, please do not use this one without first contacting me for permission.
Fields of Gold("Farm Boy" from Final Fantasy 7) A collaboration with Tepid for the FF7 remix project. Tepid did most of the work on this one; I just did the brief piano/guitar duet near the beginning.

Lover Reef ("Lava Reef" from Sonic 3) This was a massive collaboration between myself, Andrew "Zircon" Aversa, Jill "Pixietricks" Goldin, Mike "Shonen Samurai" Sacco, and Steve "D-Lux" King. We did almost all of this in one night at zircon's house after an OCRemix meetup. This was one of those cases where everything just clicked perfectly when we were working on it, and the whole process was a blast. I did the guitars (but not the mandolin playing during the breakdown).

Town Life ("Peaceful Days" from Chrono Trigger) A collaboration with Dave "djptretzel" Lloyd, creator of OCRemix. This one's a nice little folk tune, with me on guitar and Dave singing. The lyrics are Dave's.

Victory Festival ("Victory Star" from Kirby's Superstar) A collaboration with Daniel "Usa" Lippert. One of my personal favorites. A jaunty irish folk arrangement that's just fun to listen to. Usa did the bass, percussion, and piano, and I did the rest.

Canvas of Dreams ("Relm's Theme" from Final Fantasy 6, "Epilogue: Le Tresor Interdit" from Radical Dreamers) One of my early works; this was a collaboration with Brad "The Prophet of Mephisto" Burr. I did the bulk of the arrangement and the guitars, and Brad performed the sax and handled the production. This is a very laid back, very relaxing piece.

Chronicles ("Schala's Theme," "Robo's Theme" from Chrono Trigger, "Radical Dreamers," "Another World" from Chrono Cross) This was a collaboration with Juan "Sixto" Medrano. I arranged the mix and played one of the two acoustic guitars, Sixto did the rest. This is, for the most part, pretty smooth and laid back. Definitely had fun working on it.
A Star Freezes Over ("Gathering Stars in the Night Sky" from Xenogears, "Desperado" by the Eagles) A collaboration with Brad "The Prophet of Mephisto" Burr and Pascal "PriZm" Jette. There's a bit of a story behind this one: We submitted it to OCRemix, and it was originally accepted by the judges' panel but later rejected by djpretzel due to its heavy use of "Desperado." This resulted in a change to OCR's submission guidelines banning such pieces.
Anyway, it was still fun to work on, and though my production skills then clearly weren't as good as they are now, it's still an enjoyable listen.

The Bells Toll for Thee ("Carol of the Bells") Unfinished This is a symphonic metal arrangement of "Carol of the Bells," with some ethnic folk elements thrown in for good measure.
Warriors of the Sea ("He's a Pirate" from Pirates of the Carribean) Unfinished Another symphonic metal arrangement, this one with a definite irish folk tinge.
